Swedish foods/ delicacies

Since i am done with my preschool course, it's time for me to stop working at the cafe where i was working for more than 4 years.

I was working in one of the cafe just nearby my school and it ended just last january 2016. The reason behind was that, i had enough school works in front of me that i did not even had enough time for my husband. Nevertheless i am preschool teacher so i could easily find a job in some preschools.

Well anyway, here are some of my favorite foods at work.

flowers from my bosses
swedish meat balls with sauce and mashed potatoes with salted cucumber and cherries
beef and mashed potatoes with cherries
cooked potatoes and schnitzel with garlic sauce and lemon
my typical lunch, fried rice, chicken baked in the oven, sallad/vegetables and  bearnaise sauce
baked potatoes, fried fish and  spinach sauce
my colleague bake pizzas and this one was my favorite
My breakfast... typical swedish "lussekatt"very popular every christmas season
Snack time... Semla is popular every summer

beauty rest

Yes!!! Finally I can sleep all night.

My December job ended today. As I mentioned before, I have a December job. It's only every December.

It was my last night today and my goodness, I'm very tired because I haven't had night sleep for 5 nights straight. I almost fell asleep at work but I was trying to wake me up for me to do my job. I drink lots of coffee, cold water and whatever drinks that could make me awake.

I managed it and now I'm done working. I'll be spending Christmas with my husband. We'll just at home because we are sick.

I can have my beauty rest tonight. Good night guys

Last year I had tall Christmas tree but this year I have only cute but beautiful Christmas tree. Thanks to my husband for buying the things that I need or want for my Christmas tree.

Here is the look of my Christmas tree this year. Merry Christmas in advance guys.

Sweet Saturday: Christmas gift

I can feel the Christmas but so far no snow yet here in Sweden but the coldness is killing me.

What would be the Christmas gifts I would love to have this Christmas is the topic for Sweet Saturday.

Actually, I already told my husband about what I want this Christmas. Aside of all my material things I got from hubby, emotionally is the most important and happiness I can have.

Just lately, my family are asking me if ever I can have a chance to come home this Christmas. We were just in Philippines few months ago and my husband thinking twice about having Christmas in Philippines this coming December.

Since he cannot have few weeks off from work I asked as Christmas gift from him "tickets to Philippines"... He will buy ticket for me but the problem is, I will work this winter and be back in School first week of January. It would be too much hectic for my time.

As of now, I still don't know what to do. We'll see soon. Whatever it is, it will be good for both of us.

being generous

As you know guys, my husband had been operated and stayed in the hospital for 11 days including last Christmas. Even if he was in the hospital during Christmas, he didn’t forget his Christmas gift to me.

Directly he came home (New Year’s Day), he bought his presence to me. A new HTC wildfire phone was his gift to me. I’m very thankful for my husband's generosity. He likes to give me things than flowers or chocolates...

Since I got new phone, I suggested him also to purchase new one for him. At first he thought that it’s really useless to buy new one coz our phones are not really old yet. But after few days of thinking, he bought Nokia C7 for himself.

Thanks my dear for always being generous to me.

our simple celebrations

I and hubby celebrated Christmas and New Year on Dec 31 due to his accident. We really wanted to celebrate it as happy as we could but unfortunately my hubby couldn’t resist staying up until midnight. It was very difficult for him to just set down in the chair and wait for the New Year’s countdown.

So instead of waiting the count down, we ate our Christmas food around 17.00 (mid night in Philippine). We just thought that we were celebrating it with my family in Philippines (12.00 midnights Philippine time)

Our night ended up happy and at least did our little celebrations. Happy New Year everyone…

finally he's home

Finally he’s home!!!

My husband is finally home after his 11 days stayed in the hospital. His operations are still aching but at least he can walk slowly and can carry little things in his hand. It’s still difficult for him to move around the house but he will use to it. We’re thankful enough that he’s getting better and better every day..

As I said to my last post, we didn’t celebrate Christmas because he was in the hospital and now since he’s home, we could celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve all together. I already completed my 13 fruits and already have the lists of foods that we’re going to have tomorrow.

I really hope that my husband will totally be recovered so that we could be back to our normal life together. Wishing everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
